Elaine’s career as a Social Worker had seen her work both in Australia and the United Kingdom. As a Social Worker she progressed from clinical practice to senior management roles across a variety of welfare portfolios.
Elaine’s experience spans a number of portfolios from the early years (including child care, early intervention providers such as the Victorian Government’s Specialist Children’s Services and a not-for-profit autism provider); youth and family services; youth homelessness; child protective services; out-of-home care for children from child protective services; juvenile justice, disability and ageing. Elaine has worked in these portfolios for Local, State and Australian governments, as well as various not-for-profit organisations.
To enable her to continue working in the industry whilst also supporting her son with an ASD, Elaine established a boutique management consulting practice.
This consulting practice provides advice and support to all levels of government and not-for-profit providers on project initiatives that will optimise client outcomes and improve the way they manage and deliver services to clients. This practice is also still operational.
